What made you want to invent the Inclusion Table®?

Before I started planning The Inclusion Table®, I noticed a need among my patients who struggled to socialize and be included. Often, their large wheelchairs would not fit up to a regular dining table or desk. It was frustrating not to have a real solution for my patients, so I resolved to fix the problem. After 13 years, I finalized my table design in 2018 and received my patent for the official Inclusion Table in 2021.

Although the Inclusion Table® was developed in nursing homes, can it be used in other settings?

Yes, The Inclusion Table® can be used in any setting – businesses, schools, restaurants, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and even for home use. A home desk or a smaller dinner table are perfect uses for the Inclusion Table®. It is durable and sturdy, ideal for these types of uses, and a great option for your needs.

There are a few adjustable tables on the market that offer both vertical and horizontal adjustment, like The Inclusion Table®. However, there is no table on the market with the innovative 2-hand toggle design at each table section, which makes it easy and quick to adjust the table sections to a person’s individual positioning needs. Right-click for up/down adjustments, and left-click for in/out adjustments. It is so easy to use that the adjustments can be made in a matter of seconds.

Why is it called the Inclusion Table®?

It is called The Inclusion Table® because it allows all persons seated in large wheelchairs to be “included” while dining or participating in other activities with family or friends who may not need the table sections adjusted. It takes more time to unbox The Inclusion Table® than to assemble it!

How do you move the table?

Lift the table at any middle part of the sections with both hands until you hear a “click,” and the 4-wheeled caster will drop down- and when you have moved the table to the desired location, lift the table in like manner, and the caster system will disengage back up into the table.
